Wat is wenkbrauw microblading?
Handmatig microbladeren is een proces waarbij kleine, fijne naalden (in plaats van een tatoeagepistool) worden gebruikt die een klein wegwerpmesje en handvat vormen (stel je een heel klein stuk gereedschap voor dat eruitziet als een rattenstaartkam) om tegelijkertijd pigment te krabben en af te zetten onder je huid. Het resultaat? Realistisch ogende wenkbrauwharen die niet wegspoelen.
is microblading een tatoeage?
Ja, maar ook nee. In tegenstelling tot tatoeages die eeuwig meegaan, is microblading een vorm van semi-permanente tatoeage (blijf lezen als je wilt weten hoe lang het duurt). Voor microblading gebruikt Piret een handgereedschap waarmee ze dunnere, nauwkeurigere, haarachtige streken kan maken die niet zo diep in de huid zijn geworteld (vergeleken met bijvoorbeeld haarachtige streken gemaakt door een tatoeagepistool). Het pigment verschilt ook van dat van een tatoeage omdat het slechts semi-permanent is, wat betekent dat je lichaam het uiteindelijk metaboliseert zodat het vervaagt, en de kleurstofdeeltjes zijn minder geconcentreerd in microblading-inkt dan in de inkt van een traditionele tatoeage.
