Since the age of 18 Andre Siderski was searching for some principle to arrange the practice of asanas so that it could be not just an intuitive flow, but an intuitive flow, based on some certain principles, certain system. Adn today, now, after 40-ty years quest he did it. And he will explain certain principles, which combine asana, pranayama and meditation into the single flow of practice and, what is the most important — this flow of practice being free, is based on a strict system of how to use breath, of how to use movement, of how to use holds of asana through the pattern, based on principles we combine not only asana, pranayama and meditation, but we also incorporate elements of hard qigong into our asana practice. It means, that in addition to all the benefits of asana and breathing exercises, we also gain the result of hard qigong like «The iron shirt» in the same sequence of yoga physical exercises.

This workshop was devoted to practicing the asana sequence according to this system. Three days, the level is mostly basic, but magnificent of this system is in the fact, that it does not matter, which asana you use, but if you compose the practical series according to certain principles and breathe in a certain way — you gain the effect of the practice, no matter was it  intermediate level asanas, basic or advanced — you will gain the effect.

This is a video of Andrei’s 3 days workshop in Israel, Tel-Aviv 2018. He introduced his system «Yoga Workout Self-Adjustment System».

Yoga Workout or gymnastics of yogis is the ancient and currently widespread method of optimal self-adjustment and harmonization of interaction of all organs and systems of the human body with the aim of achieving balanced control of the activities of the mind and controlling emotions.
Systematization of the approach to the practice of the yogic gymnastics allows to make training effective and to achieve maximum results with minimum time and effort.

All the exercises, included in the system catalogue, are divided into modules. Each module combines exercises of one class, which share similarity in a basic morphological characteristic. Within each module, exercises are grouped into short training sets by the secondary morphological features. In some sets, separate additional «compensatory» elements can also be included, aimed to balance the effect of the main techniques applied in the training set. Such systematization of training techniques makes it easy to design a harmonious training program, even for one not having special skills of yoga instructor or significant yogic training experience.

One workout sequence may consist of a complete module, wherein sets are executed consecutively one after the other, or from a free selection of sets, taken either from a single module or from different modules with adjustment for the necessary compensation. The level of complexity of the training program is corrected by itself — inaccessible elements are simply omitted. Thus, the training sets are shortened, yet the holistic effect from their proper execution remains. This is due to the «holographic» principle, originally embedded in the architecture of the system. As the level of fitness of the practitioner increases, previously inaccessible techniques become feasible and so are returned into the practice program in the initial order of the exercise set.

Depending on the goals and objectives that the practitioner sets for himself, the static-dynamic characteristics of the practice and the breathing modes could be applied freely. In some sets, asymmetric exercises are combined into one-sided series for the «energy» fusion of the practice process. But this does not mean that the series cannot be split into parts or individual exercises performed first in one direction and then in another. Still it is preferable to do the whole series.
