Learning Methods
The learning flow of each unit is as follows:
[Step 1] Learn words
Each flashcard will have a word and a sentence together, and the teacher will read the word first. Every word will have Pinyin and English translation.
[Step 2] Memorize the word you learned through a phrase
Now, the word you learned in Step 1 will be shown in the form of a phrase.
For example, you will memorize the word “高兴 gāoxìng (happy)” and “高兴 gāoxìng (happy)” through the phrase, “ 今天我太高兴了。-jīn tiān wǒ tài ɡāo xìnɡ le (I am so happy today)”. In this way, you can know how to use these words and learn more words with the sentence.
By memorizing the words as a phrase, each word will remain in your head.

In this course, you will learn 110 common Chinese words (HSK-1 Syllabus Vocabulary). The included vocabulary is selected by the following standards.
(1) Syllabus Vocabulary from HSK level 1
(2) In addition to the above, vocabulary that is often used in daily life
Note: If the same word appears with a different meaning or use, it is counted as a different word.

Every Chinese characters has it’s own stroke, we write Chinese characters according to stroke order. In China the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi-汉语水平考试, or HSK, test is given to non-Chinese speakers who want to study at Chinese universities or to work for businesses in China. Under the new working visa guidelines of China, a higher level HSK result can offer more points toward being accepted for a working visa.
The new HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) is an international standardized exam that tests and rates Chinese language proficiency. It assesses non-native Chinese speakers’ abilities in using the Chinese language in their daily, academic and professional lives. HSK consists of six levels, namely the HSK 1 (level I), HSK 2 (level II), HSK 3 (level III), HSK 4 (level IV), HSK 5 (level V), and HSK 6 (level VI).
Test takers who are able to pass the HSK (Level I) can understand and use very simple Chinese words and phrases, meet basic needs for communication and possess the ability to further their Chinese language studies.
