Wat is Elektronica ?
Elektronica omvat de fysica, engineering, technologie en toepassingen die zich bezighouden met de emissie, stroming en controle van elektronen in vacuüm en materie. Het gebruikt actieve apparaten om de elektronenstroom te regelen door versterking en rectificatie, wat het onderscheidt van klassieke elektrotechniek die passieve effecten zoals weerstand, capaciteit en inductie gebruikt om de stroom te regelen.
Elektronica heeft een grote invloed gehad op de ontwikkeling van de moderne samenleving. De identificatie van het elektron in 1897, samen met de daaropvolgende uitvinding van de vacuümbuis die kleine elektrische signalen kon versterken en rectificeren, luidde het gebied van elektronica en het elektronentijdperk in. [2] Dit onderscheid begon rond 1906 met de uitvinding van Lee De Forest van de triode, die elektrische versterking van zwakke radiosignalen en audiosignalen mogelijk maakte met een niet-mechanisch apparaat. Tot 1950 heette dit veld "radiotechnologie" omdat de voornaamste toepassing het ontwerp en de theorie van radiozenders, ontvangers en vacuümbuizen was.
