Speech2Text App with Speech Framework, iOS, Swift - Udemy

Apple introduced the Speech framework at WWDC 2016 an awesome API for speech recognition. 

Speech recognition is the process of translating live or pre-recorded audio stream to text. Siri was introduced in iOS 5 and since then there has been a microphone button in the keyboard which lets users dictate what they want to be written in text form. This feature works on text input, as a developer you do not need to write a single line of code to achieve this functionality. It's really fast and easy to use but it has a limitation that it only works with text boxes and text views. 

Siri uses Speech Kit framework for speech recognition and for speech to text functionality. We will be using the same framework to make our app transcribe what user is talking about in real-time. There are a many speech recognition frameworks available in market today but they come with an expensive price tag. 

In this video series we will create a  voice to text memo app with Siri like speech to text recognition using Speech Kit. After completing this course you will not be limited to use speech to text just on text views but you can use it where you see fit.
