Wat is Overtuigen ?

Overtuiging kan proberen iemands overtuigingen, attitudes, intenties, motivaties of gedragingen te beïnvloeden.

In het bedrijfsleven is overtuiging een proces dat erop gericht is de houding of het gedrag van een persoon (of een groep) ten opzichte van een gebeurtenis, idee, object of andere persoon / personen te veranderen door middel van geschreven, gesproken woorden of visuele hulpmiddelen om informatie, gevoelens, of redenering, of een combinatie daarvan. Overtuiging is ook een vaak gebruikt instrument bij het nastreven van persoonlijk gewin, zoals verkiezingscampagnes, het geven van een verkooppraatje, of bij het bepleiten van rechtszaken. Overtuiging kan ook worden geïnterpreteerd als het gebruik van iemands persoonlijke of positionele middelen om het gedrag of de houding van mensen te veranderen.

Systematische overtuiging is het proces waardoor attitudes of overtuigingen worden benut door een beroep te doen op logica en rede. Heuristische overtuiging daarentegen is het proces waardoor attitudes of overtuigingen worden benut door een beroep te doen op gewoonte of emoties.
