Throughout this course you will learn foundational training skills that will help you start building a beautiful bond with your dog. You'll learn how to use food rewards to show your dog what you want them to do and how to add verbal cues to behaviours. Exercises you'll be shown include: sit, stay, drop, off (the furniture), go to a mat and wait for dinner. You'll also be shown how to train your dog to recognise their name; how to play a fun game of nose to hand touches that can eventually become it's own reward for when you don't have access to food treats; as well as how to get your dog to focus their attention onto you (and to build up that positive reward association that comes with having a well behaved dog) that will make it easier for you and them to work through distractions as you progress further in your bonding and training.
